For the Art fair 1-54, the Es Saadi Marrakech Resort hosts a presentation of an artwork by artist Yassine Balbzioui, created in collaboration with the Kalhath Institute in India. This presentation is being showcased for the first time at the Es Saadi Marrakech Resort during the opening of the 1-54 Art fair.
Yassine Balbzioui, a French visual artist of Moroccan origin, known for his neo-expressionist style, is participating in an artistic residency at the Kalhath Institute in Lucknow, India.
During this residency, he creates an artwork freely inspired by fairy tales and stories from Lucknow.
Consisting of 11 pieces created in collaboration with 21 embroiderers from the Kalhath Institute, it is made using ink interventions on fabric, but mainly through successive transformations throughout its creation process.
